Homelessness: Learn about it

The 2017 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress tells us that on “… a single night in 2017, 553,742 people were experiencing homelessness in the US ….Homelessness increased for [/the first time in seven years…. There were 12 percent more individuals with chronic patterns of homelessness.” The report defines “homeless” as “a person who lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence. Although Boston has already made great strides in addressing homelessness (6,327 homeless, City of Boston, 37th Annual Homeless Census), problems remain.
